PostHeaderIcon Jay-Z vs Timbaland Leakage...

Everybody who's anybody in the hip-hop world...and who isn't living under a big ass mountain...knows that Jay-Z is set to release his final album of the Blueprint trilogy...suprisingly titled Blueprint III...on September 11th...exactly 8 years to the day that the original classic Blueprint was released. The album is reported to include features from artists including Rihanna, Kid Cudi, Young Jeezy and Drake, and is including production by the likes of Kanye West, No ID, The Neptunes, Swizz Beats, and Timbaleak Timbaland.

Over the past few months...really more like over the past 5 months...we've heard various joints that are supposedly from BP3...leak to the public.  Swagger Like Us (f/TI and Kanye), DOA (Death Of Autotune), Run This Town (f/Rihanna and Kanye), among others.  But over the past 2 weeks, the leaks have been coming like crazy.  Now the funny thing is, all the leaks have been TIMBALEAK TIMBALAND TRACKS.  Check out a few of the leaks below, courtesy of our buddies over at Hip Hop DX...

So here's the crazy thing y'all...Album leaks generally happen when they send the albums to be pressed up...usually about a week before the street date.  But when you got a gang of tracks leaking from ONE PRODUCER, then that points to something way more serious...and a lil bit more sinister too.  But the problem is, NOBODY seems to know what's going on. RIIIIGHT.  Well y'all know me, so I'm gon snatch the wool off y'all eyes and expose the real shit...or the real shit as I see it!

Now...According to the homie ILLSEED over at AllHipHop.com, his rumor intel is telling him that the TIMBALEAK TIMBALAND joints that are leaking are courtesy of a hacker.  See, when albums are being created in different places, files aren't emailed back and forth.  They are uploaded directly to servers on either side, via FTP (look it up!).  Well, apparently on one side there was a SECURE FTP (sftp), and on the other side there was no secure ftp.  So one side got hacked, and thus we have the leaks.

THAT'S BULLSHT!!!

Let me hip you to what's really going on.  The way I see it (and u KNOW I'm always right) is like this...The way the beat game goes is that producers get half their money up front when they turn over the tracks so the artist can record.  They get the other half of their money when the record actually makes it onto the album, and the album actually gets released.  Artists record a whole gang of tracks (sometimes over 100), and take the best 15 for the album.  Those other 85 producers who's joints ain't make the cut, only get HALF of their money.  Now here's where shit gets interesting, so follow me...

About a week ago, TIMBALEAK TIMBALAND was doing a live broadcast on Ustream.  Now I don't know if the homie was twisted or what, but ole hot dog neck actually ADMITTED ON A LIVE BROADCAST that he DIDN'T GIVE JAY-Z HIS HOTTEST STUFF.  To paraphrase him, he said "why would I give Jay-Z my hottest tracks?  I got Shock Value 2 coming out".  Not a good look meaty, not a good look at all...

So...I'm thinking that Jay-Z's people got wind of this.  And you know how shit goes in this game...someone from Jay's camp probably heard the shit, and ran they ass over to Jay's office and was like "OOOOOH, THAT NIGGA TIMBALEAK TIMBALAND IS DISSIN YOU HOMIE! SAID HE GAVE YOU WACK SHIT ON PURPOSE SON!!!".  So then Jay-nem probably was like "oh okay...you wanna give a nigga HALF ASS TRACKS, lets see you get HALF YOUR MONEY!!"

So then the leaks happen.  Cuz like I said up top, when joints leak, they generally don't make the album.  So for TIMBALEAK giving Jay half ass joints, and then having the BALLS (read: stupidity) to actually say that shit on a live broadcast on the internet 3 weeks before the album drops, Jay's camp leaked all the Timbaleak Timbaland records to teach Tub-O-Land a lesson.

Of course, this is all pure speculation...none of this is fact or proven...(just a little CYA)...But that's the way shit goes in the music game.  When Ego's and Money are in the same room, it's a ugly thing to see.

BP3.  September 11th.

Holla @ a genius.
